Community Partners Frequently Asked Questions
In a thriving community, good schools are everybody's business!
The Woodside School Foundation (WSF) is pleased to announce its Community Partner program. Through this initiative, your business will have the opportunity to join other local businesses in support of quality education at Woodside Elementary School. Community Partners will receive recognition in a variety of ways, depending on the level of support from acknowledgment in The Almanac to free advertising space in the Grand Auction catalog. Local businesses support our school and, in return, our families frequent local businesses.
What is the Woodside School Foundation?
The Woodside School Foundation is a nonprofit organization comprised of parent volunteers and representatives from the school administration. Our mission is to ensure continued excellence in the academic, social, and cultural environment at Woodside School by providing a dependable flow of supplementary funds.
Why should my business play a part?
Simply put, without private sector funding, our school would not be able to offer a well-rounded education. We would be forced to cut things like music, art, technology, language arts, and small classroom sizes. The success of our fund raising efforts rests not only on the generosity of our parents and teachers, but on the greater community and local businesses.
What are the benefits of becoming a Community Partner?
Participating businesses receive numerous benefits according to donation levels.
- Listing in a business "Honor Roll" in The Almanac
- Listing in a business "Honor Roll" in the Woodside School Bulletin
- Listing in the school-wide directory that is distributed to more than 300 families
- Advertising space in the Grand Auction Catalog, which is distributed to over 300 families and community members
- Recognition in the Auction tent on Auction night
- Acknowledgment in the Woodside School Foundation's annual report
